We were so excited to work on this project. This is the home of Chris’ grandmother, Lorraine. This home was built in 1955 and was one of the first homes built on the hill in West Linn. His Grandfather Barney personally helped build this home. Chris wanted to make his grandparents proud by keeping it in good standing. Lorraine and Barney raised their eight children in this home. Several of the kids rode dirt bikes in the back yard and became competitors in motocross over the years later. Grandma still lives here today.
What Made this Project Unique
The original wood shingle roof, that Barney helped install, was still in place underneath three additional layers of shingle roofs. All of those layers had to be removed down to the skip sheeting and all new plywood sheeting had to be installed. A new PABCO Premier® Shingle roof was installed to give more life to the roof so grandma didn’t have a leaking roof.
