The National Roofing Contractors Association's magazine "Professional Roofing" did an article featuring the NRCA's Future Executives Institute (FEI) graduates and their thoughts about leadership, lessons learned and advice for other leaders in the industry. The FEI program was design for leaders in the industry to help establish a solid foundation for a strong healthy company. This three-year program offers participants an in-depth look at leadership theory and practice, as well as provide a unique industry networking opportunity all while developing their management and communication skills. These classes are facilitated through Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. Kellogg’s professors, along with leaders in the roofing industry, cover a curriculum that includes: leadership, management, strategic planning, human resources, financial management, sales and marketing, roofing industry issues, risk management, family relationships/succession and personal-development skills.
"No matter what your position or title, a leader is not above any task or job. Put on your gloves, get to work and show you care."
Kendall Ekerson graduated in 2017 and Chris Ekerson, our President, is currently enrolled in their 10th class and will graduate in 2024. A member from each class was selected for this article and Chris was chosen to represent his graduating class.
Congratulations to FEI Class 10 graduating in 2024!
