Brandon Smith followed in the footsteps of his entrepreneurial father and started his first small business in 2009 in the security industry. Within three years he had approximately 50+ client sites each and officers serving some of the largest property management companies in the region. He also successfully expanded his area of operations to Washington and Hawaiii. This growth allowed him to gain experience managing multiple teams and contracts across different states that had vastly different requirements. Brandon successfully sold the business in 2014 to a larger security firm.
While working to start his security company, he also worked as a member of a commercial roofing crew at a medium-sized commercial roofing company in the area. He didn’t know it then, but the roofing industry would be where he eventually found his business stride.
After leaving the security industry he found himself back at the same medium-sized residential and commercial roofing company that he worked for in 2009. He had the opportunity to work in many areas of the company including, the service department, customer relations, and then being promoted to commercial project manager handling some of the largest accounts.
Brandon was eventually recruited into a national insulation company to lead a local branch. This position required him to oversee the entirety of operations of commercial and residential insulation installations across a varied line of products and scopes of work. In this role he was able to hone his ability to prioritize problems and delegate solutions as necessary to ensure continual movement across all projects while maintaining a quality product install.
The roofing industry again came calling and he joined a medium-sized, commercial roofing company who was looking to grow their service department. Utilizing his previous experience, relationships, and proven processes within the roofing industry he grew the department sales by over 50% in his first year. Though he didn’t know it at the time, this was also the period where he would once again seize hold of an opportunity to focus on his own business.
In 2015 Brandon formed the foundation for what would later become a very successful floor and roof coatings company. By December of 2019 it has since become a trusted local partner to numerous regional commercial management companies, public agencies, and many private building owners in need of professional coating and waterproofing services.
Brandon has also been serving the last five years in the Army National Guard. He started with the infantry and has recently transferred to an aviation unit. Brandon is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time with his family outside as much as possible.
