Grandma Ekerson
Location: West Linn, OR
Product: PABCO Premier® Pewter Grey
We were so excited to work on this project. This is the home of Chris’ grandmother, Lorraine. This home was built in 1955 and Chris wanted to make his grandparents proud by keeping it in good standing. Lorraine and Barney raised their eight children in this home. Several of the kids rode dirt bikes in the back yard and became competitors in motocross over the years later. This was one of the first houses on the hill in West Linn and Grandma still lives here today.
What was unique: The original wood shake roof was still intact underneath 3 additional layers of shingle roofs. All of that had to be removed down to the skip sheeting and all new plywood sheeting had to be installed. A new PABCO Premier® shingle was installed to give more life to the roof so grandma didn’t have a leaking roof.
